Recommendations for Patio/Decking Companies in London

We've just been stood up by a company called London Decking, so I'm hesitant to work with them now (if they treat potential clients this way, I'd hate to see how I was treated after they had their money!), but they seem to have the nicest photos on their website. Sad

We're looking for someone to come in and re-do our patio, as well as add some decking. Does anyone have a recommendation for a good company that you've used? We're in SW London, but assume most companies around London would be within range.

Appreciate the help! x

I've no recommendations, as I live in Melbourne, but one thing I've noticed about UK threads and decking is complaints about them being slippery after rain. This does not happen here, though I can assure you it rains like hell. Must be something about the surface; like all Aussies, we karcher and re-coat with water-repelling decking oil every year. Completely non-slip. No reason at all why it shouldn't be the same in the UK.

I wonder if it is something in the air? Decking in Greece (on a yacht pontoon) never gets slippery, but it is murder in the UK. We seem to have a lot of algae floating around.

if you want decking in the UK prepare for regular scrubbing.

I can recommend someone in Surrey - are you near enough to travel to?

Good point about algae. I've never seen it on hardstanding/patios or decks in my bit of Oz, only on the south face of some trees - the cold side - the bit facing Antarctica.

cece thanks. I'm in Clapham area, so not sure if that's in their area or not. If you could PM me with their info, I'd really appreciate it!
