Would it make sense for me to buy a strimmer for doing the whole of 2 very tiny lawns or are they only good for edges? I'd really like to buy one and try but obviously I won't be able to take it back once I've tried it.
I'm renting so this may be temporary anyway, but I currently cut the lawns with shears and I'm worried as I've had a back problem for 3 weeks and I really don't want to aggravate it. There's no one else to cut it and I've found that after cutting with shears, it looks like it needs doing again in just a few days. So I'm considering buying a strimmer to save my back and cut the grass better.
The front garden is around 8 feet square of grass but with stones under it - someone's put stones down and the grass has grown back through - and there's a bush in the middle, so not a lot of grass to cut and not suitable for an electric mower due to the stones.
The back garden has a bigger grassed area, around 12 ft x 15 ft, but it has lots of bushes and stumps and remains of old plants in amongst the grass so there's lots to cut around, and it's very uneven so not suitable for a mower. I own an electric mower and shears.
If anyone thinks a strimmer is the right thing, can they recommend one? Thank you.
