ideas for a window box

I have a east facing window box which I would like to put flowers in. Any suggestions for what would work now?
I would like a really full looking box so an overflowing effect would be very good too. We are about to get ready to sell our place so want the box to look really attractive.

I would stick with the old favourites like trailing Lobelia and Million Bells, Bacopa and Fuschia if you like those. When you plant it up, remember to put some moisture retaining balls in with the compost...and water it every single day without fail....ensure the bottom of the box has holes so it doesn't waterlog.

Plant the Lobelia near the edges and the other plants everywhere else...Lobelia is low growing and falls over the edge nicely whereas the other stuff will ramble more.

East facing can be quite shady so maybe some begonia. You can get training begonia and upright which look loverly and are happy in shallow window boxes.

I've got parsley, mixed salad leaves and rocket growing in pots against an east facing wall and will add dill and coriander when it gets warmer. No reason why you can't mix some edibles in between your flowers.

Agree lobelia will give you that lovely trailing effect - but they aren't fully hardy so don't plant them out yet unless it's very sheltered.
