Cos Lettuce is so easy and quick. My Dc's love growning this and you can keep them going all season by sowing at regular intervals. Also rocket.

Spinach is easy as well and you dont need the greenhouse, just a large pot!

Herbs?

If you really want to get best use from your lovely new grow house, you could use it to make an early start on seed sowing - how about some sweet peas as well? - and then plant things out into big pots/the garden as they get bigger and the weather warms up. You could keep tomatoes in it all summer, but then (obviously) it wouldn't be available for anything else.

Cucumber is easy.
Pumpkins grow themselves without any tlc and wouldn't even need a spell in your new greenhouse.

Things that the kids will want to eat. though having grown it they'll be more interested anyway. Tomatoes. We started ours off in the foldy green house then moved outside when they were bigger. Ditto chilies. Lettuce grows very fast so is very satisfying.

Sunflowers. You could start them off in your blow away and then put them into the garden . They should grow taller than your children and then after they have flowered you can cut off the seed heads and hang them in a tree or bush to feed the birds.

Peppers. raddish and salad onions are easy to grow.

First of all, those growhouses are very unstable! You need to weight it down with paving slabs or similar (bricks aren't usually up to it)

Without heating, tender stuff (beans, courgettes, tomatoes) won't survive outdoors until May time, so start with things that are as tough as old boots. Sweet peas, lamb's lettuce will grow outside now. A window box (as deep as possible) is good for putting in the base and growing carrots/beetroot in. They can go in soon.
