Could I have some ideas please for colourful plants for pots in a shaded courtyard. Never gets direct sunlight.

Varigated hostas and heucheras. Not flowery but very attractive. Bizzie Lizzies good in shade too.

Variegated plants may lose some of the variegation if light levels are very low.

Woodland plants like pulmonaria may also fare quite well. Honeysuckle can tolerate some shade and clematis are happiest when their roots are in shade and they are growing towards the light.

Thank you everyone - when if the weather improves I will give some of these a try!

I have a couple of lovely heucheras and would recommend.

I'm planning on putting in some large pots of astilbes this year as well. I bought one at a plant sale which did brilliantly, lovely pink plumes, although that was in a corner which gets a couple of hours of sun.

I have "volunteered" to hold a plant sale for a local charity. Whilst I have most things organised, I am unsure as to how much to charge. The slight issue is that as it is a group effort, the plants will only arrive on the day of the sale, which doesn't really help me plan.

But as an idea, so far I have black grasses in 9" pots, and hebes, hostas, sedum in 1 litre pots, and some larger lilacs. Any ideas as to how much to charge?
