I have a 10 meter long fence, and need shrub suggestions.

I want something quick growing, I reckon I need 5-7 plants. Max 2-3 meters tall. Not too vigorous spread outwards.

I am thinking a mix of evergreens and non- evergreens (prefer evergreens to be honest) with nice foliage and an abundance of flowers!

What can I get?

Yes, buddleia is ace for filling in space quickly. Kerria is tall and doesn't spread out too much, also has lots of bright yellow flowers. Forsythia is another one with yellow flowers.

Hawthorn can be trimmed very easily.

Holly has nice flowers, and berries in the winter but it's a slow grower- a lot of evergreens grow quite slowly.

There's another that will come to me in a minute...

Escallonia! I knew I'd get it eventually Grin

Weigela comes with pink or red flowers,

Kolkwitzia

Hydrangea

Solanum (pink or purple)

Photinia

Please look up what the ultimate size of the shrubs will be and do not plant too close to the fence as it will need to spread all the way round. It will look better in the long run plus you may need/want access to the fence for maintenance/painting/repair.

Viburnum tinus, Pyracantha - although is prickly. Spireas come in a variety of shapes and sizes.

Philadelphus is pretty also.

Try Solanum Glasnevin. Mine grew to 2m from 20cm in it's first year, it's a semi evergreen (drops leaves as new ones come out) with fantastic blue flowers all over it this time of year. Will need supporting though and trimming to keep it neat.

Cotoneaster - we have two kinds. One grows fast and vertical, one is slower and sort of sprawls upwards supported by the fence. Both have little white/pink flowers and red berries.
