what causes some plants to have water "leaking" from the tips of their leaves?

Am I overwatering or doing something wrong? I've noticed it on some house plants, I don't think I'm overwatering... am I?

Thanks in advance for any help.

what sort of plants are they?

Are you sure it isn't just run-off from where you watered? Or condensation of they are touching a window?

is there insect or other damage to the leaves?

Possibly this ?

Almost certainly the plants are guttating (sp), like Wynken says.

What stunning photographs.

Looks like the gutating photo but feels like water. Have not left it to drip so will now leave to see if it does not drip but forms the white crust as mentioned in the link.
Thanks all.
