That's it really.

Oh, and have you used them before, what was your experience ?

I've used them a lot, but not so much in the past 18 months because I don't need any more plants. I found them to be very good, the plants were in excellent condition. They're obviously nowhere near as cheap as places like B&Q, but then I find that cheaper plants often die in the first season.

I'm not sure how their prices compare to proper retail nurseries outside of London, but I think they're about the same or cheaper than central London ones and the plants tend to be bigger and sturdier, especially the trees.

I've also bought some really outstanding plants from The Palm Centre , they were quite pricey but the plants were huge (I bought a cordyline and a few agaves).

Doh! I was sitting here trying to imagine how an online nursery looks after your kids

It's trees and large mature specimens I'm after.

bran, brilliant recommendation. I'm after some palms and that site looks great.

I think they're pretty good for trees NDP, I've bought a Kilmarnock Willow and a couple of Eucalyptus from them. I bought the smallest size they offered and thought they were reasonable. The trouble with trees is that at any nursery the price increases rapidly with tree size because of the time it takes for them to grow. Also, the larger they are the more likely they are to die when/after being moved and the harder they are to transport.

I did have a nursery that specialised in trees when I was looking for a wedding cake tree, although I didn't end up buying from them. Give me a while and I'll see if I can find the site.

I ordered a Bottlebrush plant from them last week for my Bil and his fiancee.

It was supposed to be 20cm big.

It arrived 2 days later and was 1.5 meters tall!

Great really. It was quite an impressive pressie.

They pack them really well too.

Dulford nurseries

A good place to find stockists is the RHS plant finder.

What sort of palms are you going to get bosscat? I'm because I would love to have some but it's just too exposed and windy here.
