Will my olive tree die if I bring it inside over winter?

Instead of fleecing outside I am thinking about bringing our olive (in a pot) inside over winter. (thought it would look nice with a few baubles on).
However, the only space I can find for it is in a dark corner which only gets artificial light. Will the lack of light kill it over winter or will that be compensated by the warmth?

Aren't olives hardy ? I would've thought they're OK outside (but maybe wrong).

Perhaps a garage or shed may be better as the heat change (to 18 degrees indoors, say) can shock. I doubt the lack of light (either indoors or in a garage) would have significant impact as plants are at their most dormant over winter.

But I'm no expert, so maybe check with a decent garden centre ?

Cupcakes - mine has been outside with no fleece or anything last 3 winters and been absolutely fine. You could stillput some baubles and lights on it our there?!

Thank you both for your advice - I have put it back outside and will bauble it up later!
(and thanks for the disclaimer, hub2dee, but compared to me you are an expert! )

Am sure it will do fine. Hope it looks nice baubled up.
