How can I get rid of a mouse?

I have a mouse that has made its home in my shed, I cant find the actual nest or "home" as there is so much stuff in there!

I am growing my own courgettes, tomatoes and strawberries and every night this mouse has helped itself to some mighty fine food!
How can I get rid of this mouse? If I put a trap out surly it would ignore the bait and go for the usual veggies instead? Has anyone any tips/advice?

They love peanut butter and sherbert lemons. Bait the trap with one of those.

Peanut butter or chocolate. They love those far more than veggies. You will also not just have one mouse......

I'm quite happy with mine in the shed but the house is a different matter - we get about one a week in the house traps. I pick my battles

Chocolate works for country mice. Town ones can be choosy, try glue runs at possible entry/exit points, they have to scurry in and out even if the chocolate isn't to their taste.

Definitely chocolate as the ideal bait. Warning, however, there's rarely just the one mouse...

Or get a strong smelly spray and spray their nest and entry holes. They hate strong smells and will go without any killing involved.(Remember to repeat it though)

Peanut butter in a good strong mousetrap should work. Watch your finger on the trap though (speaks from experience!)

Our cat is completely useless in the mousecatching department. Was seen fast asleep in the garden with a mouse asleep next to her ... and our other cat is actually scared of mice.

My mum was responsible for laying the traps in our shed and had a higher mouse mortality rate than both cats combined.

BTW, mice like raw potatoes as well. Interesting fact. :)
