have very tall old tree at end of garden, (london plane??) covered in ivy, many branches with no leaves or very few have appeared , looks dead.

one very large banch snapped and fell into next door garden yesterday in the wind - how dangerous is it? there is another very large branch leaning ominously over my garden where the kids play..... about 6 metres long would fall just short of the house i reckon but could smash shed...

not clear if is in my boundary or not - is rented flat and i will tell landalady. but how dangerous is it? what is risk of rest of branches snapping? will council do anything even tho is on private land? does it need a tree surgeon or?

you need to get proper advise. nothing to do with the council as on private property. Your landlady needs to action this by either getting a tree surgeon or experienced man with chainsaw. Depends also if TPO on tree.
