It hasn't been pruned in oooh 8 years and now, it only has leaves on the ends of the branches and the middle is bare. I cut out the obviously dead branches today, and am wondering if I should go forth and heavily prune the rest of it, to try and regain some shape.
I'd feed it and generally cosset it a bit afterwards, but I don't want to kill it! It's always outdoors, even through this hard winter. As DH said, it was poorly before that though, so it's probably not that.
