It's almost all orange now

Is it ready? will it keep better staying on the plant?

As soon as its all an even orange is the best time thelittlebluepills in case ( I don't want to worry you) it is stolen or something decides to nibble it. A hard frost could kill the plant and damage the pumpkin too. Check first though that the skin feels quite hard and it should be ready. They benefit from being left to stand after being picked, preferably in a cool place, but if you want to keep them throughout winter tho you have to cure them, which means you keep them in a warm place for about ten days then a cooler place afterwards.

Do check up on that tho if you want to store them for a long time, I've never done it it isn't needed for halloween ones :) Ours were a disaster this year and one of them actually had a mouse making her house in it. Niiiiiice. :) uncured pumpkins which we've just left in a cool place have lasted us about a month and a half easily, curing might be more important in warmer countries. Hope that helps I think i made it sound more confusing than it is!

I have pumpkin envy Envy :)
