What animal has pooed in the middle of our trampoline????

We have a netted trampoline that is kept zipped at night. This morning we found a poo in the trampoline. It was brown and very small, but not like a pellet (rat) but in a small coil. Very much like what I would expect to see from a dog or cat, but it was very small.

I have googled but can't work out what it could be.

This is the trampoline we have. The sides are incredibly high. How one earth anything could have got in it is a mystery.

Please help me identify it!

bat poo !!

ilovesprouts · 06/09/2010 20:14

maybe was an owl !

I actually looked up bat poo and owl poo and neither of them look like it. I really don't think it could be a bird.

Fox?

ilovesprouts · 06/09/2010 20:18

could someone have thrown it on

IlanaK · 06/09/2010 20:19

It would have to be a very very tiny fox! We have foxes here and they do fairly large poo.

But no-one has answered the more important question - how did the animal unzip and then rezip the trampoline after they pooed!

squirrel

IlanaK · 06/09/2010 20:20

Ilovesprouts - I did think that myself as we are not overly fond of our neighbours. However, the trampoline is next to the fence on the side of our nice neighbour who is really old and has bad eye sight and is a lovely lady. For the other neighbours to have thrown it,they would have needed a catapult of some kind! And then surely it would have gone splat? This was perfectly formed and all nicely coiled up.

You could write into this website to have it identified Grin

hedgehog - no idea how it would have got there though

IlanaK · 06/09/2010 20:30

Nope. Looked up hedgehog poo. Not that either.

Fox poo is very distinctive - in that IT STINKS! Wood Pigeon Poo is pretty non-bird like.

Hangingbellyofbabylon · 06/09/2010 20:52

Large Snail. They really do produce quite a lot of poo you know. We have a baby Giant African Land Snail and her poos are already quite large and also do come in a little twirl as you may expect from a different animal.

IlanaK · 06/09/2010 21:03

Wood pigeon is the most likely suggestion so far I think. We have quite a few nesting in nearby trees and regularly see them in the garden.

owl?

Whoamireally · 07/09/2010 21:01

Lol am loving this thread - only on Mumsnet! does this help? (not for the faint hearted)

Are you sure it's definitely a poo, and not a bit of detritus that's fallen off the roof or something?

AnxiousLand · 08/09/2010 18:49

Do you sleepwalk? Have you been constipated recently? LOL

OmicronPersei8 · 08/09/2010 18:55

What we really need is a photo to look at...

colditz · 08/09/2010 18:57

Goose poo.

colditz · 08/09/2010 19:01

hedgehog pooIn fact, hedgehogs are excellent climbers (believe it or not) so seems quite likely.

AlicesWonderland · 08/09/2010 19:15

could be cat poo, the cat could have climbed from the bottom between the strings to get up there, are's do...........although they've never poo'd on it Grin

MumsieNonna · 10/09/2010 11:23

I think it could be snail poo
