Law A-Levels, Maths, English Lit, French?

DD really wants to study law, not looking at oxbridge but UCL etc. Ideally she wants Law with French Law.
Her school is the type where you start with 4 A-levels and drop one for Y13 if you want to. She's thinking Maths, English, French then PE (she thinks she will keep it in Y13 I don't think she will. Are these okay? Should she do History or similar instead?

maths, English and French all sound fine, PE is the outlier.

Ideally she needs 3 academic A levels because Law is ultra competitive. PE adds nothing in y13. Not much in y12 to be honest. UCL do not have PE on their list of preferred A levels for anything but would consider it as a third A level. However I cannot see how this would make her competitive. Maths, English and French are far better.

I wouldn't bother with the PE, can she do an EPQ instead?
@mummyinbeds has a DC doing Law with French Law and may be able to offer a bit of an insight from her DC's perspective on the degree? (hopefully the tag will let her see this).

Thanks @JustHereWithMyPopcorn
Yes my DS is in year 3 of Law with French and French Law. He did Law, French and Politics A Levels and had offers from all his choices except Oxford. The main thing to consider is grades - UCL will want A*AA. Would PE be a distraction? From what I understand, it's not an easy A Level to get top grades in.
@crosley If you have any questions about the law/French degree, ask away.
