Summer language camps - France. Any experience?

We’re looking for intel from those whose DC have been on French residential summer language camps. There seem to be lots available, but many are aimed more at the 13-16 age group rather than what in the UK is the A Level cohort.

So, any recommendations for a 17yo in the summer between Y12 and Y13? She has done similar in Morzine before with family, but this time would go on her own. She speaks good French, loves it, and is keen to keep improving before she goes into her A Level year.

Preferences: South of France or somewhere lovely like Annecy. Not Paris. Two weeks residential. Accommodation in student flats or similar, rather than a host family situation. Free time permitted for the late-teens age group rather than every hour accounted for (as obviously it needs to be for younger students). If there is a beach nearby, so much the better!

Thanks in advance for any experience you can share.

DD went to a different country but booked by an organisation called "Blue Stamp" who are based here in the UK.
They had courses in several countries including France, and for different age groups.
When looking I found that various different organisations book places at the same colleges. I was strongly advised to go through a UK organisation as it's easier to solve problems.
The course my daughter did was super, and in practice all issues were resolved quickly by the college. It was a choice of homestay or residential hall. She started in a home but found it awkward and was moved slickly to the hall, no fuss. The course itself was intense and enjoyable.

That’s a brilliant recommendation @PuddingAunt - thank you so much. I had no idea this sort of specialist travel agency existed.

Late reply OP, but try CESA Languages - they offer exactly what you are looking for. DS went last summer to Cannes for a week and loved it. Same age as your Dd (17, end of year 12); they test your language level when you get there and put you in the right group - he was working at B2 level. Lessons in the morning, activities in the afternoon, 16-18 yr olds allowed out til 10pm curfew. Highly recommend.

Thank you @MotherOfCatBoy - that sounds great, and definitely worth looking into.
