Hi! I got my results about a week ago, and i got BBC when i was predicted A*AB. sadly during my a levels i had a period where my anxiety spiked insanely (funnily enough not for just exam reasons) and i’m getting professional help (medication, therapy) for it now :/ idk if i should resit, and if i’ll get any extenuating circumstances — because i know i can do better— or just take the course i have been offered.

thank you
genny

What course were you hoping to do if you achieved higher grades?

Some very competitive courses have restrictions on students applying with resits (or while resitting). It's worth contacting the universities to find out how they would view an application with achieved grades of BBC while resitting. If you have evidence of extenuating circumstances, they might be willing to waive the restrictions. But you can't just assume this: you have to ask them. You are also likely to need evidence, including doctors' letters showing exactly when the issues were affecting you.

Unlikely a resit would be funded, so you would need to pay privately. Those are good results , if you feel you will cope having got support take the course you have. Contact the uni student support office and ask what adjustments they can help you access.
