A Level Psychology- a science?

DD is looking at various Universities to do a Biochemistry or Medical Sciences degree. For this, entry requirements seem to be Biology, Chemistry and another science or maths A Level. Would Psychology count as a science for these entry requirements? I'm not that knowledgeable about it, I must admit

Psychology teacher here and lots of my students take it when they want to pursue science degrees/medicine. It is counted as a Science by most universities and goes well with Biology A Level.

Yes it often is as pp says. Double check with unis tho - they will say if they class it as a science for a specific course.

As an aside, do these courses actually ask for three sciences? Even medicine doesn’t do that. I checked Leeds and Warwick at random and neither needs more than two sciences for biochem.

That said, psych is still a good choice with her other two.

The devil is in the details! Check the course webpage for individual universities.
