Any A level geography teachers who can help with NEA?

Hi,
I would be really grateful if someone could point me in the direction of any examples of NEA’s from previous years, specifically related to human geography and looking at place perception.

Dc is struggling to know how to interpret and display their evidence and I don’t really understand what is needed and the structure of the essay.

Exam board is Ed excel. Thanks!

DC needs to speak to their subject teacher to get advice and guidance. It's not really the place of their parent to do this for them on an internet forum, particularly for A-Level work.

However be aware that NEA rules from exam boards prevent teachers form actually giving feedback on the content of their work; generally teachers can only guide and advise on the general approach or structure. Each exam board and subject differs slightly on what is and isn't allowed. This is made clear to all students verbally and in writing when NEA is launched in each subject each year.

At the same time, it's not permitted to share past work with students unless the original students have signed a consent form to share that info. In some subjects it's not permitted to share past coursework at all with later cohorts.

I’m an A level teacher, moderator for Edexcel and examiner. Teachers can only give advice on questions the student has already formulated. They cannot suggest nor formulate a title or sub questions.

The NEA mark scheme is nice and explicit and the 4 sections and the descriptions for each of the levels should really help structure the report.
The data evidence should be graphed and analysed. Analysis can be done using GIS or any other appropriate statistical method. The student should select the statistical test and then relate the findings to appropriate theory that they referenced in their introduction.

Have they actually collected data and set up their sub questions?

Thanks, question has been set and sub questions I think. Data has been collected and then dc appears to have hit a brick wall! It’s the analysis that is the sticking point I think!
