Do you leave lines between paragraphs in the personal statement?

DS is currently writing his PS, and finds that whilst he can keep to the 4000 characters, it is hard to keep to 47 lines with paragraph line spaces, as they would contribute to 5 extra lines in total. Can he send his PS with no line breaks, or will admission tutors mind?

You don't leave a line in between paragraphs.

Writing succinctly is a helpful skill while studying. Can he demonstrate that rather than cram things in?

If he needs the 5 lines then don’t worry about leaving a space between paragraphs.

Go through the statement and ensure no repetition.

No you don’t leave a blank line in between paragraphs. It does need to be written in paragraphs though, not just one solid block of text.

For example this is acceptable
Like this

Whereas you don’t need to do

It like this.

Does that make sense?

Thanks everyone for your help. DS has written paragraphs but is relieved that blank lines are not needed.
@IDontDrinkTea Thanks that makes sense.

It strips out the formatting anyway when it goes into UCAS. The system won't let you go over 4000/47
