UCAS help - can DD change choices?

DD has received 4/5 offers from her chosen universities all conditional, we are still waiting for a response from Manchester so no firm decisions made yet. The issue is DD is having a major wobble about where she wants to go now that it is all becoming more a reality. She would like to change one of her choices to another uni which was not on her initial list which is in a city familiar to her due to having extended family there. Reading UCAS I can't see whether it's possible or not at this point. Hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. TIA

Which course would she look to apply to?

I don't think you can if it's more than 14 days since submitted.

On results day, she could possibly approach them through clearing to see if there were any places on the course she's interested in.

Past 14 days she can’t change.

Her options would be to reject all her choices and enter Extra to apply for this other choice, or wait and see if it’s in Clearing and apply then - but again she’d have to give up any choices she was holding to go through Clearing.

Thanks all, this is what I thought it might be. I think it is mainly the reality hitting of actually having to choose and thinking of leaving home has made her reconsider. Although I had tried to encourage her to put said uni as an option the feisty free spirit in her wanted to do her own thing 🙄

The only way to try a different choice at this stage is through Extra. She would need to reject her existing offers and also withdraw her Manchester application. If she really wants the different uni she needs to speak to them to see whether they are still taking applications for that course and the likelihood of an offer etc and then she could proceed to apply for them if feasible and she wants to reject all her other choices.

Or she can wait and again reject everything and going into clearing early if they have a place (ie before results day) or reject and go into clearing post results day.

I suspect she may just be having a wobble though as mentioned above

I would hold out until she has a yes or no from Manchester then she can see realistically what her options are at this stage. She still has a fair amount of time to make a decision. If you haven't already been to the unis she has offers from try and get to see them, even if it isn't an open day, walk the city/campus/area, get a feel for it all.

She can make a decision after accepting, she could try clearing on results day or wait a year with grades in hand.

Moving away is a massive step and incredibly daunting. I imagine lots of children have wobbles. Ds contacted us by text message for freshers' week but didn't want to speak to us as it was too much for him and he missed home. He is half way through his first year now and was completely fine once lectures/tutorials started.
