On initial reading, this sounds an interesting way to do a BEng and a bit different from the traditional University path:

with the added attraction, and obviously a tempting one, of no course fees to pay (they highlight the possibility of graduating 'with no student debt').
I believe the first cohort started last September, so it would be interesting to 'hear' some 'actual reality' experiences, to try and guage if it is really any better financially than going down the University route and potentially having a Student Loan (course fees and/or maintenance fees), around your neck for however many years to come.
So, can anyone throw some (obviously in general terms and non identifying), light on the reality of the Dyson route?
In particular, whether or not their son or daughter has found that the £16000 starting salary adequately covers (after tax, NI and, presumably, pension contributions), living costs such as accommodation (which this past year was 'off site' but seems to be, from 2018, on campus and approx £600 pm), food (self catering or subsidised canteen?), extras (day to day living, travel, sports facilities and suchlike on campus and in area).
Thanks, in advance, to anyone who can give indications.
