Hello There. We are relocating to England from South Africa &* I have a 17 year old daughter who has completed her Grade 11. In SA she would do her Grade 12 next year & go to Uni. We need some guidance - Will she need to finish another grade/year In high school or do a bridging course before applying to University.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Regards

Hi everyone i just got through this topic and i also want some information regarding this . I am a student in grade 11 in Southafrica and want to move Uk but I am unable to decide whether i can take step now or i must finish my Grade 12 which is matric here in SA . Question is if I finish grade 12 here in SA , still i have to do level A before taking admission in uni. And do I required IETS test to pass for taking admission in uni . I know alot of people go through these situations and can guide me here , Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

My advice is finish your Matric. I was in Grade 11 last year and I am literally forced to take GCSEs in England this year because they don’t recognise my Grade 11 report as a qualification. If you pass Matric very well you might not even need A Levels but chances are that you probably will. I’m not sure about IELTs exam although it’s not very hard to pass from what I’ve heard from my relatives. Good luck

Hi , You don't need to do GCSE here. You can take IELTS. Its easy if you did your grade 11 in SA. My son took it last week and aced it with ease. Infacr got 100% for speaking. Don't worry.
