OU degree law or something else?

Hi

I've done a module with the ou last year with the view of completing the BA Law. I then deferred for a year to have my 3rd dc. I'm due to start the Law again in October.

I am however not actually wanting to go into law completely i.e solicitor or barrister and I think my aim is to be a primary school teacher as it's something I've wanted since I was young.

I do really enjoy law and did it at gcse level also but not a level. I know I could do an English degree to make my qualification more attractive for a pgce but I don't think I would enjoy it as much as the law. I got A* in English at gcse level so could possibly do ok.

Could I complete a law degree and still get into teaching or am I better completing a different degree? Sorry for long post just confused!

I would love to do the primary 5-11years teaching degree with qts but this is full time at uni and I can't do this with 3 young dc and lack of child care. I'm also due back at work in Nov so not really possible yet! Any advice would be great! Thanks x

I guess you've had no replies because people who know about legal qualifications probably don't know about teaching - and people who know about teaching qualifications might not open a thread about law.

You do seem to want two completely different things. I'm afraid I have no idea if law fits into what's required for teaching - so this is either a bump or a suggestion to start a new thread with teaching in the title.
