Bother - quick question about BFPO parcels

My DB is in Afghanistan at the moment, and I've just sent him a wee Xmas present. But the minute I'd put it in the box I realised there was no customs declaration on it. Does it need one?

Please reassure me that he's going to get his pressie or it'll just give me another blimmin thing to worry about.

TIA.

My sister in law sent my brother in Afghanistan a gift without a declaration on, and it was returned to her. Maybe someone else has a more positive story?

Oh bugger.

If its the free forces post you are using at the post office, then they must have a customs declaration on.

Botherbotherbother.

Thanks very much anyway. It has a return address on it so hopefully I'll at least get it back.

What if it's BFPO to BFPO? My db is in Afghanistan, but we are also at a BFPO address, so the parcel will not hit Royal Mail at all.
