I've had enough. DH usually helps with these things. He's not here. Some residents of mQs near me (follow on from last weeks incident with police) have been out swearing at my Dses and their friends telling them they are trespassing, that "if you don't fuck off from here I'll take a knife to your ball to get rid of you" or "I'm going to take your football off you". I'm just fed up of the whole thing, it's an ongoing thing between my neighbour(cow), these other people in mQs across the street and civvie police. I don't need stress.

I would give them a call, as that is threatening behaviour towards your children and their friends, what about your local HIVE?
Don't know if they would be any use as have never used their services.

Drusilla · 02/05/2009 09:30

Also, write to DE, get the name of your Area Housing Manager from your Hive and write to him/her. They are breaking their licence to occupy and DE should do something about it.

pinkem · 04/05/2009 20:44

Dh has said to contact DE about problem neighbours. If you fear for the safety of yourself or children then contact the base police.
He also said to remember that if they do damage your children's ball it is criminal damage or theft if they take it away.
Are you able to talk to the parents or are they too scarey?! They sound horrible neighbours, poor you.

fulltimeworkingmum · 04/05/2009 20:54

Go through the DHE and complain that these people are violating the condidtions of their lease. Keep a log of their offensive activities as evidence should you need it.
Military police are generally really helpful (contact via the Main Gate of your nearest base) and if things get really bad, your DH can try to get something done via his chain of command if the offender is on the same station.
Good Luck - how horrid for you.

Hi Saltire

My hubby is in the army and we have always been told by the welfare to phone the community policeman (the HIVE may tell you who yours is, if not the local police station). Basically, you need to phone the local bobby and tell him everytime something happens. It may seem tedious and you may feel like you are wasting police time, but it is the only way DE can evict people. Obviously it is not a 999 call, just a ring to the local station./

They need a record of threatening behaviour etc as a police report and then action can be taken. You may even find that this family is "known" already.

Hope this helps but if you phone your welfare service they should be able to give you some more information.

The problem is that in these situations the MPs however nice and helpful are essentially toothless. Although the blue flashing lights help (I know from experience). I used to live on a MQ estate that was open to the rest of the village, so not behind the wire. We were behind the playpark so this was often frequented at random times of the night by drunken and often shagging (loudly) teens. My DH was away, they always are, and I resorted to calling the MPs they came down, flashed the lights, cleared the yoofs off, then waited a time before knocking on my door to see if I was ok. They were sensitive to the fact that I might not want said yoofs to know that I had called at least. But all they could do in the long run was substantiate any calls or claims I wanted to make to the local bobby. In short, call the MPs in the short term. You know there number, trust them and they are not busy generally so will be able to provide a presence. But make sure you follow it up if you are unduly worried. The duty MPs will back you up and file reports etc to the local bobby.

HTH

their

Also they will pop out 10 times a night to flash the blue lights if neccessary and really won't mind. A lot of people diss the MPs, but they are on hand if you need them, don't worry about calling them first.

*disclaimer DH not a plod LOL!
