How long left for you all?

Just wondering how long left till your DH/DPs leave the forces. We've got 5 years left and as of December, 1 sea draft left (touch all things woody)!

We've talked (atleast once a month) about him leaving early but the pension is too good to loose now.

Am I being thick , if so tell me . But what on earth is he doig at Wittering . Thers no nimrods there.
Doh i'm definately thick , he's probably flying a desk like my Dh

Duh that is because he is a Waddington!! I always get them the wrong way round!!!!

dh has signed on for 15 but wants to do 22 so 11.5 years, not long at all really ha ha

3 years and 362 days (not that I'm counting or anything!)

Dh has to go at 53 unless he gets promoted, so we have another 5 and a bit years. We're beginning to look around and see what there is. He doesn't want to stay in defence, but I think as we're abroad already there is a possibility of an International job on one of the Military staffs where we are that would be good and pay well.

I hope however, that he will either get promoted or get an extension, as I think the transition to civvy street would be hard for him. he's been in since he was 18, so coming up 30 years now.

DH is in for another 8 years, unless he gets promoted before then. If he does he'll be in for another 13 years!!

DH is due out in 7mths after 24yrs service and we can't wait! . We've lived apart the last few years and I desperately want him home. Everyone around us seems to think we'll hate being together but I don't think they understand how much we hate being apart! We've made a pact to give ourselves at least 2yrs until we can discuss divorce to get over the initial shock and awe.

DH has done 12 years, 22 more years left!

my oh has recently signed for his 22 so quite a while for us to go. think he will be in till hes 60 though lol

Nine years left until his option point, but he wants to stay in until he's 55. Who knows what will happen in the coming years though, and he may change his mind. I enjoy the lifestyle, so I'm happy! (Ask me again in a few years...)

Dh will stay until he's 55. So 15 years to go!
