is it not true that the army change the covers everytime the sofas get sent back, i have never used any army furniture myself but heard this through a friend.

my biggest cleaning tip would be to go to the families office and get the phone number of the local cleaners

Are you in Cyprus? We were there until 2 years ago. Would love to be back.....
Anyway my main march out tip would be to book cleaners! Suncream will never come out. Sorry. I think that should be considered normal wear and tear. Can you not put the covers back on? Or will that just draw more attention to the problem?

benandalex · 14/01/2008 16:33

Have to leave them uncovered and no they dont replace them every march out i wish would be alot easier !! will just do the best i can and prob be billed lol i cant wait to have my own furniture again !!!

hI speak to the families officer.. They should have to take into consideration the suncream and sweat marks... I only had the army sofas for the last month I was in cyprus... could you try to vax them, if they say they have to be done. But i would defo book the cleaners.. alot easier for marching out. I left Cyprus in Nov06 it was £150-180cyp for the cleaners.. (i was in Ay nik) IN aug I moved to another house in Germany and it cost me 180euros to get the cleaners in the old house..(defo worth it babs was only 4weeks old)

Have you go the the old furniiture or the new stuff.. If the new be warned the dinning tables were what most people I know were getting charged for..(that doesnt sound right!!)

Waughling now.. good luck.xx

It doesn't matter how clean you leave it, the feckers will still find any excuse to charge you.

Bitter? Me? Whatever gave you that idea?

We left Cyprus (Dhk) in 2012 and were not charged and the sofa's were stained (not the covers). Housing said it came under wear and tear. Don't know if the power plant blowing up had anything to do with it.
