Redundancies announcement - anyone else waiting?

The first announcement is due any time now. I cant decide whether I would be a bit excited if DH was eligible or absolutely terrified! Anyone else waiting to hear?

But will they say 1 Sep (date redundancies are announced) is the date by which they have to be in that two years, or will it be the date of redundancy (early 2012). Call me cynical, but I wonder if they have chosen a date before the start of term for this reason?

Not sure. If you apply as a volunteer you will be out by 1 March and if compulsory by 1 September 2012. There will be a tranche every year and just because you avoid it 1 year you
Couldl still be eligible the next.
