Friend's brother serving out there so I'd like to send a parcel but I don't know him that well and have no other forces connections so was hoping you lovely ladies could tell me what I should send?

So far anyone I ask just says porn which I'm sure I can do but is there anything else that would be appreciated?

yes, perhaps that's a good idea

Rubix cube coz:

  1. Doesn't require electric, a signal, replacement bits or anything else that he probably hasn't got.
  2. It's small (there's no storage space in a tent).
  3. Repetative tasks can be helpful for processing stress.
  4. Doesn't require a lot of light like a book does (so is still interesting after dusk).
  5. Doesn't melt in the heat like sweets.
  6. Wastes massive amounts of time (what else is there to do after work in a communal tent?)
  7. Gives hands something other to do than that (someone else will share thier porn anyhow).

I had a Rubix cube when I was in Iraq, and yes they're good time wasters. Instead of actually going about it logically, I pulled it to pieces then remade it with all the colours correct.

Then I boasted about it for the next 2 months saying I'd solved it in one patrol duty :P
