Does anyone know if there are any rules/regulations about selling home-made cakes donated by mums at village shows/school fetes?

Where I live they just donate and they are sold-there are no rules.

When our village does things we just donate.

There was a lot of talk at one time about health and safety but luckily it got ignored and common sense prevailed.

Can't be 100% certain, but I think the regulation is something like any food stuff which is to be sold should be made in a kitchen that has got relevant H&S certification. So jams/chutneys/cakes etc made in the average domestic kitchen shouldn't, in theory, be sold. BUT in practice I think a blind eye is turned for school/village fetes. It'd be a sad day when we can't buy home-made cakes etc at a school fair!
