Got salmon and dp is ready to put it under the grill, but I remember eating delicious salmon that's sort of glazed- the sauce tastes a bit sweet- I'm thinking it must be soy sauce and something else....

Help?

In This Recipe, you mix honey with the soy sauce - that may work with the salmon

Mix honey, soy sauce and (sesame)oil - about 1 tablespoon of each.
salt and pepper to taste and voila!

It could, right?
DP's talking of mixing soy sauce with balsamic vinegar...but then it won't have the sweetness to it, will it?

Shit...haven't got sesame oil...would just soy sauce and honey work, Sonilaa?

just use olive or sunflower oil then. sesame oil gives an extra asian taste.

no balsamic vinegar please, if you have you can add a little teriyaki sauce

winnybella · 01/05/2010 19:59

Ok, thanks, will use honey, soy sauce and oil.
Oh wait, DP now discovered that we have some sweet soy sauce so he said that we could use just that instead of honey. What do you think?
