What food can I make in advance to give to someone?

...who is in a bit of a crisis? I mean things for her and her 2 dc's to heat up and eat later, iyswim?

What works best, looks appetising and is easy to reheat?

Any suggestions gratefully received. I'm not doing a massive cookathon, more of a "make a bit extra" for them.

Fish pie/shepherds pie/casserole

I often make a big fish pie and give a smaller one to our neighbour. Its no more work. I give it to her ready to cook, ie the fish inside raw still, then it just needs 25 mins in a hot oven.

Curries, Spaghetti Bolognese, Chilli Con Carne/Veggie Chilli, Stroganoffs. They will have to do their own rice/pasta but nothing too strenuous, can even eat with a baked potato.

Taffeta - I hadn't thought of leaving the dish uncooked, I'd only thought of cooked stews etc.

Doing the occasional pudding is a good idea.

Thanks, all.
