So MIL and SFIL are coming next week

Neither of them will eat anything with even a hint of spice - so no curries, chilli etc.
SFIL is allergic to pulses and beans, onions and peas, as well as what MIL calls cheap sausages (according to her the only ones he can eat are Halls, which are cheaper than the average butcher).
I ahve a couple of nice pasta recipes but they both have chilli int ehm so that's out the window. I have a leg of lamb for Sunday, but MIL informs us she doens't eat lamb, so am tempted to buy a birds eye chicken thing for her.
They won't eat pork apart from bacon - well SFIL does, but MIL won't. No eggs either unless fried

I need some inspiration otherwise it's going to be
spag bol
mince and tatties/shepherds pie
chicken in a sauce (has to be knorr chicken tonight sauce)(because they won't know what ingredients I might put in)
and now I'm stuck.

Betya she eats microwave ready meals, so tell her to bring some she likes. Then she can have that while you lot have lovely homecooked food.

And biscuits. People who don't eat real food always eat biscuits.

She sounds like a bit of a freak tbh.

Treat her like a fussy child. Serve what you would normally, but nothing outrageously spicy. Have lots of side dishes, veges, bread. If she wants to refuse the good stuff and just eat bread, ignore her.

My dad's a bit like this. I serve a lot of roasts.....

MIL is fussy like this. Although she likes homecooked food, just nothing at all foreign, not even burgers or pizza or pasta.

Luckily for me she brings her own food and cooks for us all. Last week it was steak pie

Tell her that if she insists on being so fussy she can bring her own food and cook it herself.

Could you not do things like -

chicken drumsticks / grilled lamb chops / expensive (ha ha) sausages etc all served with salad or veg or cous cous

how ridiculous though, what do they eat when they go out?

Bloody hell. I have some sympathy with fussy eaters, I figure they can't help it and it's probably not convenient to be one. But won't eat potato chips that aren't the right brand, won't eat homemade white sauce because you might put the wrong thing in it (er it's butter flour milk cheese, have you seen the list of ingredients on the jar version?) - that's not fussy-caan't-help-it that's just ridiculous.

Good news is, you don't have to make her homemade delicious things, you can just use jars (maybe make yourself something, though!). So I'd buy a bunch of frozen meat pies and McCain wedges (one meal), do a roast chicken and vegies (one meal), your lasagne sounds great, how many days are they staying?
