Is Chinese feasible

Hi

I am home alone for a few weeks with my lo (15 months). We have been BLW and he eats pretty much anything now. I don't usually eat take aways but REALLY, REALLY fancy a chinese.

Thing is ... if I take my lo to collect one I feel I need to give him some rather than make him a separate meal (I have always made sure I only eat in front of him what I am happy for him to eat). If I wait until he is in bed tonight I have to get a delivery and then I have to order over £15s worth!

Is there anything I get get for him that is nutricious and not too salty/fatty? I am guessing he could have plain noodles and ...?

Thanks in advance

I have fed ds chinese food from a chinese restaurant since he was a baby but I am less happy to feed him chinese takeaway food as although I love it it doesn't really seem very healthy and I dread to think what additives it has in it.

If you really want to I would go for something like plain rice and lemon chicken.

You could ask the Chinese to do you a portion of noodles or rice with some pak choi and/or some other veg and a little gravy but with no extra seasoning.

It's not exactly homemade butternut squash casserole but once or twice aint gonna hurt him

Thanks for the suggestions.

thedollshouse - is the food in a restaurant all that different to a take away?

It really goes against the grain as I usually cook all his food myself (amazing how healthy you get when you have children, isn't it?)

I don't want to be ardent about it though - and really, really fancy a chinese ....

Thanks again

We get very few takeaways (maybe 8 a year), so I would think nothing of letting them eat it with us. I tend to give the LOs a chicken noodle dish, as that is what they love. Crispy duck also goes down a treat as do the (ahem) crisps. I only really feel guilty about the prawn crackers so don't order them but they sometimes come free.

Defo avoid the sugary msg ones with sticky sauces if you can.
