HELP! - Was over zealous defrosting the cookie dough ... does that mean I should bin it?

Had frozen some left-over cookie dough and decided to use it today. Put it in the microwave to defrost it and it came out a bit too defrosted - wasn't runny but the butter content had melted a little bit. Tis now in the fridge to harden up.

Is it safe for me to continue to use this stuff to make biscuits or by 'melting' it a bit, have I made it a no-no?

TI

I would imagine it would be safe to eat, as it will be cooked in the oven... as to wether it will work or taste ok

Jut as long as it's safe to eat ... we're used to the whole Russian Roulette of the taste thing when it comes to my cooking anyway .

Best not quote me on it

I think I would have mixed/kneaded it before you put it back in the fridge to try to reincorporate the butter, but it shouldn't be a problem at all. Melted butter is not poisonous. Nothing will have 'gone off'. I don't really see what the problem is.

Don't worry Honey, won't hold you to it ... if nobody else replies then shall trying 'Phoning a Friend' .
