Brunch things I can make beforehand (for children's birthday)

Usually when we have people round for brunch, we make scrambled eggs/bacon, French toast, that kind of thing. This weekend, though, we're having brunch for DD's 3rd birthday party and would rather get the cooking out of the way beforehand. It doesn't have to be way beforehand, just as long as we're not scrambling eggs with one hand when people arrive.

What do you suggest we make? Maybe pancakes to keep warm in the oven? (as would bacon and sausages). It doesn't have to be particularly breakfasty.

Thanks!

the little frittata things that you can make in bun tins, maybe?

and little pies with mince filling and a non-meat one.

and salad... and cake. That should be enough.

Muffins - savoury and sweet - made as far ahead as you like and frozen immediately - defrost overnight and then just chuck trays in oven for 10mins to warm through. I did hame& cheese, cheese& onion, ham&mushroom, summer fruit, apple and banana for a brunch party - combined with juice, fruit, etc and tons of cocktail sausages.

You could actually cook the bacon and sausages in the oven, so they are still cooking as your guest arrive rather than keeping warm?

Croissants filled with ham and/or cheese and warmed through are lovely.

Fruit salad

Quiche

I did some brunch items for adults at dd's party. All had to be made in advance and transported to party venue so nothing hot. I did bagels with smoked salmon and cream cheese, big fresh fruit platter - strawberries, pineapple, grapes. Also croissants & jam, danish pastries, homemade blueberry muffins.

All got eaten!

Thank you!

Had forgotten bagels and croissants! You need threads like this to jog your memory...
