Not rooibos - tis foul.

I have some Twinings, which is OK (but not great if left for any length of time).

Anyone got a favourite?

GypsyMoth · 07/03/2010 22:38

Boogeek, sounds lovely

When I drank it years ago it was the London Herb and Spice Company stuff. Think they have been taken over now, possibly by Twinings which I don't like.

However, I always like Clipper teas and most of them are fairtrade and/or organic. They do a green tea so if I was going to drink it I'd probably try theirs. They have a site you can order from online if you google. (No, I don't work for them )

GypsyMoth · 07/03/2010 22:43

i cant be bothered with ordering...i just stick it in the trolley with everything else!

I like the Twinings pineapple & grapefruit one, but agree with what the OP said about not leaving it to stand for too long.

DH likes Tetley Green Tea and drinks it by the gallon .

chopstheduck · 08/03/2010 16:21

carocaro · 08/03/2010 17:30

My Mum got me some loose leaf green tea in a lovely silver tin from Fortnum and Mason when she went to London the other week as a gift, and jolly divine it is too, I feel ever so posh when I drink it!

usualsuspect · 08/03/2010 17:32

Clipper

kimbows9 · 13/03/2010 19:25

Twinnings do a great green tea with apple and pear, just don't leave to to stew too long. A minute is more than enough.

My fave is also from Japan and I can't get it here I have to wait for relative to visit to bring me some!

Other than that, when I have run out I run to the supermarket for Clipper. Although I must say I go for the white tea over the green tea. Much nicer taste and that bit more delicate.

tinierclanger · 15/03/2010 20:30

Double Dragon Jasmine is my favourite, failing that, any other jasmine. Nicer than normal green tea, I feel.

Not a fan of Japanese stuff though, prefer Chinese. Does that make me a green tea commoner?

JulesJules · 15/03/2010 20:31

DH drinks Green tea and likes Clipper (from supermarket) and Marks and Spencer, but it has to be just green tea and nothing else (lotus blossom, rainbow juice etc etc).

I drink Earl Grey, pref M&S.

thisisyesterday · 15/03/2010 20:37

green tea with jasmine

yum

shona2 · 15/03/2010 20:41

jasmine green tea is lovely. I drink mine with milk which is a green tea no-no but I love the taste. so there.

VKschmeekay · 15/03/2010 20:41

tinierclanger Yes! Yes it does!

Well, let's say this. I am Chinese but drink Japanese tea...

Then again, my father calls me a commoner as I also like PG tips rather than Earl Grey!

IMoveTheStars · 15/03/2010 20:41

clipper, either plain green or with jasmine.

erm... rooiboos isn't green tea though

groundhogs · 15/03/2010 22:35

yorkshire tea, for hard water...
Does me fine in me soft southern b*stard village...

will have to give a good green tea a go though..

MrsGubbins · 15/03/2010 22:49

am overly excited at the thought of green tean with pineapple and grapefruit!! can only find with orange or mint in my part of the world... will need to do a stock up on the next visit back.

remind me again what are the health benefits?

AussieSim · 15/03/2010 23:08

Jasmine. I can drink pot after pot when at Yum Cha, and after I have already had my one coffee of the day I switch to green tea. Tastes great - without milk and is full of antioxidants.
