What does your 1 year old have for tea?

DC2 has a really good breakfast and lunch (protein) and for a while was having steamed veg for tea with a few rice cakes and breadsticks thrown in.

However, i'm not sure that this is necessary now and would like to move onto finger foods for tea : cheese sandwiches and fruit go down very well but i'd like to vary it a little (for the life of me I can't remember what DC1 was eating at this stage ).

So, what do you serve up?
Thanks in advance.

Whatever we are having tbh. Today was veggie sausages, mash & peas, yesterday pasta & tom sauce.

yea, whatever we have, just in baby portions

He has whatever dd is having. I just usually chuck something in the slow cooker that morning.

thanks so much for your ideas.
thing is that their big protein meal is always at lunchtime. prefer it that way so that if tea goes wrong i know they've already eaten well in the day so don't worry too much.
the plan is not to cook in the evening for baby too - toddler always has cheese on toast or similar.
i always cook for DH and i after they've gone to bed.
baby woke very early this morning - 6.30am is early for us!!! i think 'cos of hunger so want to make sure they're eating enough in the evening.

second the whatever we are having thing! I do a food blog of what I'm cooking with loads of recipes that my (now 13 mo) eats. In fact, I can't think of anything he won't eat. Its london plains organic box blog if you want to see the sort of things I do.

He usually has banana-apple porridge in the morning and then has what I have. That sort of start ensures regular nappies, and the rest is all lots of fruit and vegetables with a variety of grains and different sorts of protein. It should be fun, not worrying, this weaning malarky!

Last night's leftovers.. That way they can eat the same food as we do, but it doens't matter if we want to eat later in the evening.
