DS2 (1 year) wakes up every night, tossing and turning and grunting and generally carrying on like he's got a sore tummy or indigestion. He's a pretty fussy eater- prefers to fling things on the floor, rather than feed himself. It's a mission to get much into him and apart from plain biscuits and yogurt, there's not much I can definately say he eats.
He does love his milk though, but I'm wondering if he's finding cows milk hard to digest. I've been thinking about switiching him to goats milk and while I've been doing a bit of googling about goats milk, I've come across some information that says pasturisation (of any milk) 'tangles' the proteins in milk and makes it harder to digest; boiling the milk though, 'untangles' the proteins and makes it easier to digest. Has anyone heard about this or done it themselves?

I've never boiled milk, but as well as goat's milk (which my daughter, 14 mo, finds easier to digest) you can get low/no lactose brands of cow's milk. Worth a try.

Have never boiled milk! You need a food technologist for that question.

Alternatively, is he waking because he's hungry, because he's filling up on milk rather than solids?
