how floppy does broccoli have to be before you chuck it

Just cooking some broccoli which has been in the fridge for ages. It ain't brown, slimy or mouldy so I've cooked it. Only thing was it was quite floppy. It's still ok to eat, right? Will there be any vitamins in it whatsoever?!

Thanks for your reply, taffetacat. I had thought of soup, actually, but didn't really have anything else to put in it! Needed to do a food shop but wanted to use last bits up.

I did eat it but the smell when it was cooking wasn't that nice, and the taste was a bit wierd, but it didn't kill me!

If it has gone yellow I wouldn't eat it. Pretty obviously it is better fresh...
