my little girl is 2.8 and will eat loads of fruit and veg, cheese and biscuits, chocolate and crisps. she also loves bombay mix ! she will not eat bread, toast, chips or meat. Should i worry ? or try to change ?

Well you're doing better than me, my dd eats half that. If it's any help I've seen 2 gps and spoken to HV about it, they all say if she's got plenty of energy and is growing then no need to worry.

I still stress about it but less that it's doing her any harm and more that I find it irritating, and it is embarrassing when eating out!

She's nearly 4 now and showing no signs of improvement. I'm hoping when she starts school wanting to fit in and eat like the other children might help.

do you eat with your children - ie do they see you eating the same food and therefore get a sense that this is the thing to do or do they eat separately? Our house rule is that they attempt to eat most of their dinner and untill this is done they are not allowed to eat anything else - we don't get into arguements its just left there and they can come back later. As a result they will all eat more or less anything with a few exceptions that i respect. sometimes they take a while to get used to new foods - often saying they don't like things initially which then become their favourites - think this is normal with children.
