Help me get more fruit and veg into DS pleeeease

Help!

DS has always been a fussy eater, he's been getting better recently and I've been able to hide loads of veg in mash/fish pie/cottage pie etc. He'll eat chunks of chicken/fish fingers/sausages etc.

Recently he doesn't want to eat anything but the meat. He won't eat veg on it's own, and he doesn't eat any fruit. He used to eat fruit puree but turns that down now.

He used to eat most things at nursery, but is now turning down fruit and veg there too

he won't drink smoothies, doesn't drink juice, won't eat mash anymore. He will eat chips so the only thing I can think of is chipping things like sweet potato, parsnip and butternut squash in the hope he'll eat those.

Does anybody have any brilliant ideas?

thanks

I am going to steal the 'green macaroni' idea. Another tip which I forgot to add the other day is to get one of those mini-choppers which Delia is so fond of. They dice things so small that they disappear into the food. I use mine all the time as it speeds things up. I made the kids ham omlette with mushroom and leeks the other day and they didn't appear to notice the veg. I kept the ham pieces big and the veg miniscule and they are so unobservant they didn't catch on.

My sympathies, it is a constant difficulty, my 6yo has suddenly started refusing most veg & fruit after being reasonable for a few years. One thing I had noticed is that he won't eat cold fruit straight from the fruit bowl now (winter) but will eat any fruit hot under custard or icecream or crumble etc. Also will eat any fruit that comes from a tin - if I offered a sliced peach he won't have it but will scoff entire tin of canned peaches
I know yours is only 2.3 but could you try taking him to supermarket/fruit shop/farm shop and letting him choose whatever he fancies, he might not even know about some veg or fruit at that age and they'll be very exotic to him. It might just work! He's also coming up to an age where he could help you cook or put stuff on a pizza base etc.
Could you try the pasta thing again? Let him take a look at all the different shapes in a shop & choose maybe? My 3yo doesn't realise that spaghetti is pasta maybe you could just fool him!
