I have decided i want a bread maker, i have no counterspace whatsoever, so want something small that i can pull out of a cupboard.

also want not to spend a fortune.

any ideas?

Just be warned you'll love it at first but may tire of it? I have one and swore it'd get good usage. I bet you could get one on freecycle to see if you like it?

Hope you get an answer on a good small one though.

Thanks Curiousmama, I do make my own pizza dough and bread on a fairly regular basis. But as veggie growing season begins, i find it takes a bit too much effort.

I have come to detest supermarket bread, and find speciality breads a bit pricey.

I love my own bread, but it is a bit time consuming.

I think i'll use one, wont' I?

I have one, its been in my cupboard for the past 3 or 4 years.
I did use it at first, but I didn't get the lovely, freshly baked bread I was hoping for.
The only thing I ever used it for was making chocolate chip cake. Now, I can't even be bothered to set it up for that!

I am sure you would get one cheaply/ for free on gumtree

Sounds like you may use it then but I'd still try to get one free. I bet you can.

Or you may get one to pick up on ebay? I got mine that way, it was new (unwanted gift) and I got a bargain.

We got this one although it was £10 cheaper when we bought it. We bought a cheap one as we weren't sure if we would use it or not but we've had it years now and it is used most weeks. We do make pizza dough with it too as well as bread, naan breads and you can make it normal or add seeds etc.

Watching this thread with interest as I'd love a breadmaker but have a seriously smallkitchen - my slow cooker takes up 2/3 of my workspace!

Interested in brand recommendations, as I always do the 'buy the cheapest one, realise it's crap, give up' thing.
