Run out of flour, can I use a packet of pancake mix to make something else?

I have a big packet of McDougalls Yorkshire Pudding and pancake mix in the cupboard, and I've run out of flour.

Do you think I could make something (like buns or muffins) using the pancake mix, with the addition of butter, sugar and an egg etc?

To add to the fun, my scales are knackered and boing from 2lb to 9lb and back if you poke them.

Am guessing it is flour & raising agent? so don't see why not, use cups or spoons rather than the scales for measuring

Thanks, I've given it a go using a variety of odd ingredients. Oh, isn't the last week before payday fun? : 2 eggs, some sugar, a tbsp of golden syrup, a few fluid oz of sunflower oil as not much butter in, some water (as I think the mix contained powdered milk) a tbsp of cinnamon and a couple of finely chopped apples. Stuck it into bun tins and am now crossing my fingers.

Bet they won't rise. Or maybe they'll rise and turn into weirdy apple yorkshires? lol

Er, they didn't rise.

And to be fair they do look a bit like weirdy apple-studded yorkshires.

But they taste ok, and they'll hide well under custard. Roll on bloody payday!

Congrats, they're edible which is the most important thing.
