Turron blando.

I have been given some turron blando and it's really nice (actually disgustingly nice) but I can't see us managing to eat very much of it before it goes off since it is so rich. Does anyone know something that I can do with it (cakes, cheesecake, biscuits etc)?
TIA.

I have no idea what this is!!

Ah! lots of childhood memories.....

  • I'd just get a nice book, lock my door and eat it all.

-You can use as peanut butter brittle: Crumble and add to simple cookie dough or shortbread dough.

  • use to cut crumble dough and sprinkle over bramley apples
  • grate and sprinkle over very simple vanilla ice cream
  • use as creme brulee topping
  • Again, consider eating whatever is left

@meltedmarsbars - it's this.

And it is amazing.

@slim - thanks for the ideas. I can see the vanilla ice cream coming out tomorrow!

Do you think it will last long? Or should I aim to eat it within 4 weeks of opening it?

think better use up. It will go a bit rancid after a while.

you can freeze small chunks and grate as you go on ice cream but does not defrost well as it goes soggy.
