Help - I've over-sweetened my beef and redcurrant casserole - what to do?

I'm making a beef and redcurrant casserole. I used redcurrant jelly in it, but have put in too much and it's really sweet now. Can I do anything about it?

Can I add a load of paprika and turn it into goulash. Or is there a magic ingredient that will take away the sweetness?

salt?

Serve it with bitter vegetables so you get the contrast, and pretend you meant to do it that way?

a few chopped anchovies. sounds gross but i have a fab recipe for beef stew with anchovies in, they melt and just add a umami saltiness.

Thanks all. Will try some salt, lemon juice and tomato puree and see what happens.

Failing that, I'm adding a ton of chilli powder instead!
