What sippy cup?

My nearly 11 month old daughter still uses a bottle for water. I'd like to use a sippy cup, but each time we have tried she gets it everywhere, and ends up getting dehydrated really quickly.

I saw some that are BHP-free, but they are quite pricey, so don't want to buy if they're not easy to use...

Thanks!

try using a normal cup or (chunky) glass, ie no lid at all. babies as young as 4 months can drink from them if assisted and they soon get the hang of it by themselves. They may get a bit wet at first, but in the long run it is great - one less thing to remember to take out with you!

We had the Tommee Tippee first cup for ages (and every mum I knew did as well!) but DD is now far too fond of shaking it to get the water out, plus got obsessed with folding the spout down (and then complaining when she couldn't drink out of it).

My new favourite cup is the Nuby non-spill. I am sufficiently confident of its non-spill properties that we are currently using it in bed for night weaning (though we co-sleep and it's a bit damp) and I'm also happy to carry it in my handbag, plus it doesn't explode when flung from a highchair like our other TT one sometimes did. DD loves it (I bought it because she kept stealing her cousin's).

She can drink from an open cup but I just don't trust her with it!

You can get Playtex ones sometimes online and they are definatly the best. It doesn't spill but they don't have to draw on it to hard to get anything
