I want to buy DS the Thomas the Tank engine or cheeky monkey cakes in Tesco (as he giggles when he sees them) but neither can be guaranteed as nut-free. I am getting so confused re current guidelines and would be grateful for advice. Does anyone know when it is safe to introduce nuts to a baby's diet? Do you steer clear till 3 years old, or ok to introduce anytime if no history of nut allergy, or don't risk it at all?
DH nor I (or our families)have a nut allergy, but I do have a history of asthma, hayfever and oral allergy syndrome (which is fairly recent) so am being extra cautious. Not sure what to do. Any advice gratefully received.
I wish I'd learnt how to bake.
