Ooh good call, I nearly started this the other day...
I'm keen on avoiding diet foods (don't want low fat processed stuff that tastes minging and makes me crave proper food!) and we made this on New Year's Day to counteract the festive indulgance:
Steamed white fish with ginger and spring onion sauce:
Ingredients (serves 2):
2 fillets of white fish, eg sea bass
1 tablespoon of peanut oil,
1 garlic clove (crushed),
3 tablespoons of light soy sauce,
4 tablespoons of chicken stock,
3 tablespoons of rice wine,
1 tablespoon of oyster sauce,
3 tablespoons of julienned fresh ginger,
2 x half inch pieces of spring onion (using mainly the white part),
1 teaspoon of sugar and quarter teaspoon of sesame oil.
Method:
Steam the fish - 7-11 minutes depending on size.
Heat the oil in a saucepan, add the garlic and fry for 20 -30 seconds until fragrant (but not brown).
Add the rest of the ingredients and a pinch of white pepper.
Reduce the heat and simmer for about 2 minutes.
I calculate this as being about 3 points as it is, depending on the size of fish fillet. We had sea bass making it about 2 for the fish and 1pt for the sauce. We had it served with blanched pak choi but it would be gorgeous with some boiled rice to soak up the sauce. mmmmmmm.....
Anyone else?
